Knoxville Lemon Law Lawyer
Is Your Vehicle Covered Under Tennessee Lemon Law?
The New Vehicle Buyer Protection Act (Lemon Law) protects consumers by requiring vehicle manufacturers to refund or replace vehicles with defects that significantly impair the use, value, or safety of the vehicle. The law also provides manufacturers with opportunities to repair defective vehicles before they must return them. We can help you collect the refund or replacement of the vehicle you are owed - we only get paid for the cases we win.
Tennessee consumers who purchase or lease a lemon have legal protections available under the Tennessee Lemon Law. The Lemon Law can protect you and get you back on the road in the car you deserve. If you purchased or leased a lemon in Tennessee, you may be entitled to have the manufacturer repurchase or replace the vehicle, and to collect any other charges or expenses that you incurred. An experienced Lemon Law Attorney in Knoxville, TN can help you to navigate the state and federal Lemon Laws.
Lemon Law applies to new consumer vehicles sold or leased in the State of Tennessee weighing under 10,000 pounds. The law does include motorcycles, but does not include mopeds, motorhomes, lawnmowers, tractors, or off-road and recreational vehicles.
In order to obtain relief under Tennessee Lemon Law, you must first give the manufacturer (or dealer) an opportunity to repair the vehicle. The manufacturer is allowed to try to make repairs up to three times (for thirty days). Additionally you must provide notice of the problem to the manufacturer via certified mail, after which the manufacturer has ten days to repair the vehicle.
